[ARTICLE] BTOB puts fans in a frenzy at their first Indonesian showcase

On June 21st, BtoB successfully completed their first showcase in Indonesia!

Held at the grand ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Jakarta, the boys launched their first showcase, ‘BtoB Live in Jakarta‘, to a crowd of fans holding up various support signs written in Korean.

Ahead of the showcase, the boys sat down for an interview with various local media outlets comprised of music critics and journalists that passed favorable reviews like, “Just three months into their debut, BtoB is proving to be popular in Indonesia”, and “They’re a band capable of pulling off various genres.”

Several showed interest in the group’s plans for their Asian promotions and asked questions in regards to their musical direction as a group.

In total, 350 special fans were chosen through a lottery along with 150 industry officials to attend the showcase. Opening with their debut track, “Insane“, the boys amplified the atmosphere by calling up seven lucky fans to the stage to personally teach them the choreography and other couple dances that definitely roused the crowd.

The members came thoroughly prepared to converse with their fans by memorizing key phrases like “I love you”. Member Peniel received an ecstatic response when he was able to say some popular local phrases with aegyo.

The members expressed, “It’s always on stages like this that we’re able to feel that everything can be delivered and expressed through music and dance. It’s our first visit to Indonesia and it was because of your support and cheers that we were able to earn the strength to complete this stage. We want to open a concert to be with more of our fans as soon as possible.”

One broadcast official commented, “Despite being rookies, it was surprising to see not only their talent, but the way they interacted perfectly with their fans.”

Sony Pictures and One Channel celebrated the boys’ showcase by broadcasting select stages through the One Channel.

BtoB will be completing the rest of their TV schedules before returning home to Korea on June 23rd.

[ARTICLE] BTOB FANMEETING & SHOWCASE in JAKARTA: “Short but Sweet”

So after the heat of Xia Junsu on last Saturday, KoreanUpdates has the chance to meet BTOB, a CUBE DC – Subsidiary of Cube Entertainment Rookie 7-male-member Group. BTOB stands for Born to Beat.

The showcase is a show in launching channel ONE on Indovision, to be in Channel 164, as a leading Korean entertainment cable TV channel. And brought to us by Sony Entertainment. The show started at around 7:40PM at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, and yes, Melodies – what we called the fans of BTOB, scream crazily when the boys enter the stage after the MC picked 14 people to compete for a game called Elephant and Ant to be decreased to 7 lucky fans, including 1 lucky fanboy.The boys starts the show by singing Insane, their debut single, and the fans go insane because of that, after the song, BTOB starts to interact with the fans, by asking questions and answers, after they introduced themselves one by one.Next they play the dancing game with 7 lucky fans pair-up with BTOB boys. and there are 3 winners, the 7 fans got signed CD from BTOB but the 3 winners can take a photo with BTOB members.After the game, Indovision giving them the wayang, a traditional indonesian puppet, and they are having fun playing with it. Then they sang Monday to Sunday, and lastly end it with Irresistible Lips. and end the show by saying “Aku Cinta Kamu”.It was a short and sweet meeting indeed, Eunkwang stated that they will surely comeback to Indonesia when there is an opportunity. We will wait for you to be back boys!
